The ethical implications of visiting Myanmar, a country under military control, have long been a concern for travelers. The situation seemed to clear up for a while, but it has once again become complex, compelling visitors to balance the benefits of supporting the local people with tourist dollars against the potential of indirectly funding the ruling junta.

However, one undeniable fact is that Myanmar is a country of stunning beauty and mystique and home to some of the friendliest locals you’ll ever meet. 

Having visited Myanmar numerous times, dating back to my first visit in 2006, I created this design in the spirit of unity and support, and as a tribute to the resilient people of Myanmar, who hold a special place in my heart.

The design proudly displays the Myanmar flag, accompanied by the powerful Burmese phrase “ကျွန်တော်တို့တွင် သင့်ကို ထောက်ပံ့ပါသည်”, which translates to “We support you”.
